Charming Girls September/October Update

I had to go back to my list of plans for this 2 month period and see what exactly I had said I would do- that's how far off my goals I think I am...

Prepare some meals for Dana and I that can be unthawed in the morning for dinner that night. Tomorrow I am going to roast two small chickens to make soup as well as make some black bean soup and freeze portions in small containers.  I will keep this up on a weekly basis as living on popcorn and hummus with crackers can only be an option for so long...Done and continuing to do this. I am often on my own for dinner as Dana works afternoons at the hospital, so frozen soup is a great option.

I have 40 of 90 blocks made for my Serenity king size quilt for our master bed. I plan to get 50 more made Done

Finish quilting this quilt top. I haven't been able to quilt a top for years, but now that I have a new machine there is no excuse. Also this one will will be completed, binding and all. Done

this one as well...Not completed but it is next up into the machine.

continue to work out 4-5 times per week. Yes

design my Christmas cards so I can make them in November Done, just need to find the time to make them

spend time with friends and family whenever the opportunity presents itself Yes

read as much as possible. I leave work on my lunch hour just so I can read. If it is nice, I sit outside and if it isn't nice, I walk to the local Mcdonald's, order a tea and read. No one minds that I bring my own lunch, it seems. Yes

get the borders on my Jelly Roll Sampler done

make Tagalong Schnibbles from Wiscasset Done- it is ready to be basted, probably this week

So it seems I accomplished way more than I thought I did. Now to set goals for December/January...

You've done a great job! Leaving work is a good idea. I usually stay at my desk, and end up getting phone calls, etc. I keep a crochet project in my car, so maybe I'll take lunch break in my car, too. Love the colors of your jelly roll sampler.
