Birthday Girl

Chloe turns 8 today, and as you can see she is partying it up.

She was one when we got her, and she has just been a joy to us. She is funny and loving and just has a great disposition. After we lost our first dog, it took my husband 4 years to decide to get another dog, and we have never regreted it. Well...maybe a little, like when we travel and we have to pay for her to go to the doggie kennel....

Today it is a very cold (- 22 Celcius with windchill) so it is a stay inside day. I got my baby quilt layered and pinned, ready for the machine.

I keep my pins in a little antique candy bowl type of thing. It was my grandmother's and I think it is just beautiful.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hope Chloe enjoyed her birthday...looks like she was content to snooze the day away on the couch, lol. This baby quilt is just gorgeous! I like that you are using your grandmother's bowl in your everyday life so you can enjoy it often. Winter is turning cold here in MN, too. We enjoyed a warmer than average autumn that extended into the entire month of November, can't beat that. :-D
