Second CGQC Project Done for September
I finished the quilt top from the Louisa pattern. It did call for some leaves to be appliquéd in each block, but I think it is busy enough without the leaves adorning every block. My professional quilt holder dangled it from the deck for me to take a picture on this beautiful sunny day. I am pleased with the look and colours, but am not sure where it will end up once the top is quilted...
Today will likely be a non sewing day as we are heading into Calgary to visit with Tony's Mom, and then my son is coming for dinner. I am just making hamburgers and potato salad and grilled veggies- a salute to the end of summer that seems to be inevitable. Colder weather is on the way, and days to BBQ will be fewer.
Tomorrow I am going to continue to sew the blocks together for Sassafras, and see how far I get with that before the end of September. I may get the blocks done, but doubt I will get the appliqué done as well, but I will try!

It is a beautiful quilt Anne! ...and Tony is doing a fine "quilt holder" job! (Is he smiling back there?)
