One Moment

This morning I wandered into my sewing room, essential coffee in hand, and look what I saw outside the window!
There were about 6-8 of them, all fairly young looking. The first deer was the biggest and he came across the street quite boldly. The others followed but were skittish.

Sorry for the blurry picture, but they were coming fast and I was trying not to scare them. They went between our home and the neighbours place, so I ran to the back but don't know where they went. We have seen a lot of this gang in the last few months as we have quite a few fruit trees, and they have been feasting on the apples and choke cherries. They are just so beautiful, and they absolutely just made my day.

Yeah, we have lots too up our way. They are really cute until they eat your almost blooming tulips, or the flowers off your tomato or strawberry plants, or until they leave their little pebble poop in your front yard when you are having an open house with the realtor, or when you hit them and they total your vehicle or, God Forbid, someone you know gets hurt because they jumped out in front of your vehicle, because they can!!!!!
You can tell, my favorite animal! LOL
They are like pets here, walk up and down the street, the sidewalks, down the middle of the roads, eat your shrubs, flowers, garden!!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed, good luck with them!
Happy Holidays, take care, Leslie

I have a herd of deer feasting on my trees and at the bird feeders...my cedar tree is NAKED! Darn deer. The novelty wears off fast after you hit one of those big guys with your car! OMG! :(

I love when the deer come here too...it is difficult to snap photos without them running off. I think they are fun to watch....and have the good fortune of never hitting one with my car....knock on wood!
