What's Up For May?

The plans for the Charming Guys and Girls Quilt Club has changed for May. We are going to sell or trade any supplies that we no longer want or need. This is a great opportunity for many of us to purge and see if anyone wants to trade supplies. I had already planned my goals for the month, so I am going to be a rebel and also complete my goals for May- I seem to work better that way. It comes with the short attention span...

I already have Houseboat cut out, so am going to get the top sewn together as this is a gift for a wedding in July. The Verna fabric totally suits her decor, so I hope they like it for a table topper.
I am going to get this pattern cut out. It is called 5&Dime, and will be made from fat quarters from a line called Dance with Me by Jennifer Paganelli. It needs a contrast fabric, and I never thought I'd say this, but I think I'll use white. Yikes!! What has come over me? I see a variety of quilts made with white and they are just beautiful, so I will see how this goes.
Next I am going to cut out Stella. It is a lot of cutting! I love the Minick and Simpson fabric and the Miss Rosie pattern so the end result will be worth it. I won't put myself under too much pressure by saying I will also sew the top together- that will be for another month(s). Miss Rosie will be happy that my golden retriever, Chloe is laying on top of the fabric already- warming it up for me. I swear she was a quilter in another life...

Hmmm...I thought I responded to this earlier, but it's not here. I'm with you about setting goals. I can't wait to see your Stella!
