Long Weekend!

As per the weekly tradition here is one of "my" ponds this morning! We have been having warm days and very cool nights and the ponds are beautiful early in the morning with the mist rising from them. Haven't seen many birds lately, but when the Canada geese start their migration some usually stop here.

I was asked on my last blog posting what fabric I had used to make the quilt I completed. I can't remember what is is, but in the past year or so have been more diligent about the name of the fabric, and recording more info about my quilts as I make and complete them.

Tony has gone off to the Priddis golf course to watch the LPGA championship that has been there all this week. I am going to start my chosen projects for the CGQC today, and then we are going together tomorrow to watch the ladies play for the final round. Tonight we are going to the Okotoks Pro Rodeo- an annual event here in town. Then I hope on Monday to spend the day in my room working on projects.

This is what I plan to do this month for CGQC. I am going to sew together the quilt top for a Moda kit I bought a year or so ago. It is the Louisa fabric by Terry Clothier and the pattern by the same name. It has been cut out for some time, and even a block or two started, so I want to complete that quilt top. I am also going to work on cutting out the Sassafras pattern by Thimbleblossoms in the Simple Abundance fabric line. My goals seem so simple compared to some of the beautiful finishes shown of the Charming Chatter blog. There are many, many talented ladies out there in quilt land! Cheers to you all!

I say you are right up there when it comes to talent Annie! I love your choice of projects for the CGQC and can't wait to see them finished. Thank you for the e-mail. I love those colors together in your quilt. I know one guy (hubby) who would love to be at the LPGA with Tony! Even though we are both from Canada it is a bit far to be there in time for the game from here in Nova Scotia! Happy labor day! enjoy...

Isn't it nice to finally get some of the older projects underway and finished?? I have a few of those I need to get to as well.
