Lovely Sunday in June

What a beautiful morning it is today. Tony is off golfing and I am surfing the quilting blogs and preparing to get a few hours in my sewing room. We have a BBQ to go to this afternoon for my great niece who is turning four, so I want a little time before we leave. It is funny as we went yesterday to buy a gift and I have forgotten what four year old girls like...I can tell you what a 22 year old likes, but I drew a blank for a four year old...anyway she is getting a pink piggy bank, and Tony is going to put her first money in it for her.

I have chosen my fabric for the Charming Friends Quilt Along, using fabric from my stash for the background fabric and recently purchased Kansas Troubles "Wrapped in Paisley".

I took this picture last night and have since started cutting this out. I'm not in the Schnibbles group and just happened to choose this one as my next Schnibbles....this morning while browsing blogs I have seen many great variations on this little quilt, and they are all beautiful.

I am also cutting out this quilt from "Layer Cake, Jelly Roll and Charm Quilts" by Pam and Nicky Lintott  using Mill House Inn.
I have been on a cutting rampage these last few weeks and my shoulders and arms are getting sore-doesn't  help that I sit at a computer all day at work, too. So once the Quilt Along quilt is cut out, that will have to be it for awhile, or I won't be able to move. And I will have enough projects cut out to last the summer...or until I get distracted by something new.

Those are are lovely Anne. I love the Kansas Troubles! Wrapped in Paisley is gorgeous! can't wait to see it all together! How soon we forget what little girls like... then the grand-daughters come along and you get in the grove again! It's so cool when grand-mère knows exactly what they like. ( with their mommy's help of course)
Happy Sunday!

Wow! Love your blog! I'm glad you left a comment at mine and now I've signed to follow you...plan to look at your older post when I have more time. Fantastic!! I too have some Wrapped in Paisley and love it! I still hadn't decided on a project just yet. Your State Fair will be just adorable in Blush and it is a FUN FAST AND EASY one!! Be sure to submit it to Sherry or Sinta by end of the month for the parade and possible win!!
