I completed the quilt top for the Schnibbles called Darcy. I love how it looks and it will be on my completion list prior to Christmas 2010.
And I put the binding on my son Neil's quilt. This an African theme quilt as Neil collects African masks, and luckily is goes really well with his living room walls in his new condo. I used a pattern from the book called New Cuts for New Quilts by Karla Alexander. It was a fun quilt to make- and I will definitely make another.
As I reflect on what is left of 2009 I have to believe that 2010 will be better for my family. We have had a rough go of it, but are still lucky enough to have each other and our home, and food on the table. And when I say "rough go of it", I don't necessarily mean financially- I mean with the devastation of losing/leaving a job and all that entails. I know that 2010 will be a good year, and it can only get better. In 2010 it will be our 25th wedding anniversary, my Dad's 80th birthday, and my son's graduation from University of Calgary. Many things to look forward to!!
Happy New Year to all, and Cheers to 2010!!!
